Caparzo Brunello di Montalcino 2013 -- Wine Spectator 95 Points
Regular price $40.00
Brunello is the highest and best form of the Sangiovese grape, most associated with Chianti. It's made with the Sangiovese Grosso clone, and is one of Italy's very best red wines. This producer has been landing killer reviews in the last few vintages, but they have forgotten to raise their price! Similar wines easily fetch 2X or 3X the price. Only a few cases are available.
From The Wine Spectator: "This cuts more of a broad swath than its peers, yet remains graceful, evoking strawberry, cherry, tobacco and stony mineral flavors. Long and dense in structure, with a tobacco- and underbrush-tinged finish. Best from 2021 through 2033."
