Reserve Club Selection
Since migrating to Oregon from California and her old job at Sine Qua Non, Maggie Harrison has crafted some of the most intense, textured and ultimately lavish pinot noirs in town. She spares no effort in the vineyard or winery in order to make exceptionally rich, supple wines that have a very strong following of well-heeled wine lovers who can afford her high-end offerings. This Reserve Club offering is a prime example of the lush texture and mind-boggling length that mark the top Antica Terra pinots. Despite its youth, this is wide-open and full-throttle today - there's no need to wait! That said, this should age well also based solely on the sheer volume of fruit. Drink now for a hedonistic wine experience, or hold.
From Vinous: "Deep red. Sexy, intensely perfumed cherry pie, boysenberry and floral pastille aromas are complemented by suggestions of cola, incense and Asian spices. Palate-staining red and blue fruit preserve, rose pastille and spicecake flavors convey a deft blend of power and nerviness thanks to a spine of juicy acidity. The floral quality comes back emphatically on a strikingly long, sappy finish shaped by smooth, fully absorbed tannins.-- Josh Raynolds"
