Domaine Drouhin Pinot Noir Roserock Zepherine 2016 - Suckling 97 Points

Regular price $64.00
This is the second year in a row this bottling has been scored at this stratospheric level. The wine is from specific blocks of the Roserock Vineyard, which was acquired by DDO as their outpost in the Eola Amity Hills, balancing out their longtime stronghold in the Dundee Hills. This is laden with the dark red and cool blue fruits that typify the AVA, along with a piercing red component that is quite vibrant on the palate. It's a beauty! Drouhin really makes killer pinot noir.
This has just dropped, and I think we'll get a couple of days before the Oregon allocation is gone -- that said, don't wait too long. Last year, many people missed out.

Here are the notes from Suckling: "Super pure aromas of vibrant, red and darker cherries and subtle, foresty complexity. The palate has a very supple, lithe and juicy feel with abundant and intense, concentrated and very pure, red and black-cherry flavors. Drink or hold."
