Lumos Pinot Gris Rudolfo 2015
Regular price $19.00
There are lots of ways to mess up pinot gris, but Lumos finds the sweet spot with every vintage. There’s a huge volume of dense, textured fruit that really coats the palate, and then the electric acidity kicks in and balances all that fruit and extends the finish. All stainless steel fermented, of course. The secret to this wine is just a hint of residual sugar . . . you can’t taste it, but it helps gives tremendous amplitude to the texture and flavor. When you balance things with high acidity, the result is a highly engaging and delicious wine. Oregon makes a LOT of pinot gris, but this bottling is consistently at the top of my list. To top it all off, this wine is Vegan too, and yes, that’s a thing.
