Arterberry Maresh Pinot Noir Old Vines 2017 - Pinotguy 93 Points
Regular price $45.00
A blended wine sourced from some of Oregon's oldest vineyards in the famed Dundee Hills, this is just the second vintage for this cuvee from winemaker Jim Maresh. The first bottling from the 2016 vintage won a whopping score of 96 Points, and was a candidate for wine of the vintage. This 2017 version follows on perfectly, and is a current favorite of mine.
The wine is a translucent ruby in the glass, with a gorgeous aroma of red fruits, spice and earth. On the palate it has a multi-layered personality, with wave after wave of juicy and fresh red fruits washing across the palate. The flavors persist in a perfect balanced manner, with the finish lasting as long as you care to wait, finally fading long after the wine has been swallowed. This is a great example of the classic Dundee Hills combination of elegance and intensity. Decant now, and drink anytime over the next 10+ years.
